About Beacon Consulting Foundation
Beacon Consulting Foundation ("Beacon") is a faith-based nonprofit organization 501(c)(3) committed to addressing the pervasive issues of pastoral stress and burnout. We achieve this by fostering collaborative relationships with clergy leaders to establish internal Project Management teams (a “Project Management Ministry”). Our mission is to become participatory advocates of pastoral work-life balance by collaborating with clergy leaders to implement project management teams in churches to reduce pastoral stress and burnout, empower team collaboration, and advance ministry growth.
Beacon Consulting Foundation's methodology is empirically grounded, stemming from focused academic study. Dr. Natasha Williams, the organization’s Founder & Board President, established Beacon after conducting an in-depth doctoral study titled "Exploring the Impact of Establishing a Project Management Ministry in the Church on Pastoral Stress and Burnout." Motivated by the evident stress pastors face, Dr. Williams pioneered a solution: forming project management teams in churches to provide targeted pastoral support—the primary service Beacon delivers. This collaborative team structure was implemented in a Christian church in Saint Louis, Missouri, as part of academic research, and generated substantial benefits for the participating pastor, including:
Better time and workload management.
Pastor-centered support through team collaboration and accountability.
Promotion of emotional and physical well-being.
Acute strategic and visionary focus.
Ministry growth and engagement.
Organizational development and inclusion.
Findings from the research indicate that this project management approach contributes to lower levels of pastoral stress and burnout, confirming its broad, impactful benefits. Beacon Consulting Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Saint Louis, MO.
