Dr. Orlando Smith, who serves as Beacon’s Treasurer, has more than 30 years of experience working in the Non-Profit sector. In addition to working in the Nonprofit sector, Dr. Smith has over 20 years of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate students in various courses, including Micro and Macro Economics, Human Resources, and Statistics. Dr. Smith specializes in facilitating courses in Entrepreneurship that prepare students for leadership and management in both nonprofit and for-profit settings. He is certified in Non-Profit Administration, Leadership, Employment Training and Workforce Development. Dr. Smith earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, an M.A. in Human Resources and a B.A in Psychology.
